Yakima School District Earns State Auditor’s Office Stewardship Award
At the August 1st Board Meeting, the Washington State Auditor's Office recognized the Yakima School District's dedication to improving government. This award is presented in recognition of outstanding accomplishment in accountability, transparency and good stewardship of public resources, as we pursue the shared mission of government that works better, and earns greater public trust.

Asst. Supt. of Operations, Stacey Locke, & Director of Child Nutrition Services, Cassie Davidson, Awarded The Paul Harris Fellow Award From The Yakima Rotary Club
On July 21, Assistant Superintendent of Operations, Stacey Locke, and Director of Child Nutrition Services, Cassie Davidson, were awarded the Paul Harris Fellow Award from the Yakima Rotary Club. The Paul Harris Fellow Award was presented to those who went above and beyond to provide "service above self" to others during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Washington State Patrol Recognizes YSD Transportation For Exceptional Results In Annual School Bus Inspection
The Yakima School District received recognition for exceptional results in the annual school bus inspection from Washington State Patrol. For the past two years, the results for the district have been outstanding.
